October is a month marked by courage, compassion, and community action. Across the world, it is recognised as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to come together in raising awareness, encouraging prevention, and supporting those on their journey with breast cancer.
As part of the Colours of Malta 2025 Calendar, RA & Sons Manufacturing is proud to dedicate October to Europa Donna Malta, an organisation that has become a beacon of hope and strength for so many. Their mission goes beyond raising awareness; they provide guidance, practical support, and reassurance to patients and their families when it is needed most.
Why This Cause Matters
Breast cancer affects not only individuals but entire families and communities. It is one of the most common cancers among women, but early detection and treatment make a profound difference in survival and recovery. Europa Donna Malta works tirelessly to promote education on prevention and screening, empowering people with the knowledge that can save lives.
At RA & Sons, we believe health and wellbeing form the cornerstone of a thriving society. By partnering with Europa Donna Malta, we reinforce the importance of standing together, ensuring no one has to face their journey alone. This partnership reflects our shared values of strength, resilience, and unity.
Wellness Events at RA & Sons
As part of our commitment during Pink October, RA & Sons is also hosting two special wellness initiatives for our team:
- 24th October 2025 – Wellness Woman Talk
An internal event dedicated to our female staff, focusing on health, awareness, and support. From next year, this initiative will be extended to welcome anyone in the wider community who wishes to join.
- 29th October 2025 – Wellness Man Talk
A dedicated session for our male staff, organised in collaboration with the Marigold Foundation.
Beyond our internal initiatives, we are proud to support the Marigold Foundation campaign on 8th November 2025, where proceeds will fund a third Cancer Community Outreach Project. For the first time, this project will be carried out in collaboration with the Gozo General Hospital, bringing oncology community services directly to patients and families on the island of Gozo.
A Symbol of Strength
October’s universal colour—pink—has become more than just a symbol. It represents hope, solidarity, and the fight against breast cancer. Each ribbon worn is a reminder of the lives touched and the collective commitment to building a future where fewer families are affected by this disease.
Through our support of Europa Donna Malta, we aim to spread awareness and encourage conversations that matter. Together, we can help normalise the importance of self-examinations, regular screenings, and seeking support when needed.
Get Involved
You can be part of this movement too. By supporting Europa Donna Malta, you’re helping to provide encouragement, education, and essential resources to those who need them most.
This October, let’s wear pink with pride, spread awareness with purpose, and show compassion in action. Together, we can create a community that supports health, embraces hope, and inspires change.
